Set it up correctly. Now trying to pair it with a Garmin Edge 500
Head unit was previously running a heart rate monitor and a cadence sensor. (HR monitor is connecting now, as was the cadence sensor before I took it off)
Checked pins, ok
Checked battery, and replaced with new one
Spun crank clockwise and anti-clockwise - to wake it up!
Switched Power Meter on within G500 settings
Put the ID number for the pedal into the G500
Connected the Garmin 500 with Garmin Express to see if there were any downloads - this was done after the power meter was switched on with in the settings on the G500

Anyone able to suggest anything else?
Thanks

Is the garmin still looking for the cadence sensor that's been removed? Seem to remember that the 500 will search for HR and cadence before looking for a powermeter unless you change the settings to disable them.

You also need to 'flash' the pod/pedal unit via pc/laptop with Vector Updater before all else.
You can do this off the bike with the pedals with the pods connected sat at the laptop.
Open up Updater/ spin the pedals a few times and you should see the update process.

There is nothing in the box to do that with?

Can't remember the exact process, but the pedals should have come with a USB ant stick? Go through the registration and update procedure using that before installing to a bike.

yes, there should be a ANT+ Garmin mini stick in the box

Also recommend , the Vector forum
    https://forums.garmin.com/forumdisplay.php?424-Vector
and also register your Vectors at Garmin .
Essential if along the process you get a real hardware problem like a broken pod ( it can happen).
