Kona Fork query

hi, I have a 2009 Kona Hei Hei 26er that I bought secondhand. I want to use it for trail centres and some forestry trails. I found the original spec on Bikepedia last night
http://www.bikepedia.com/quickbike/BikeSpecs.aspx?year=2009&brand=Kona&model=Hei+Hei
It turns out it was originally sold with an 80mm travel front fork but it is now fitted with a Fox Vanilla 125.
Is this likely to cause me any problems?

More than a 50% increase would make me wary of snapping in half.I don't do smileys.

They sold the bike with 100mm fork as well.
Its not going to snap, might just not handle as well as it should. Im fairly sure you can drop the travel on Vanillas with an internal spacer.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Thanks For the info. I think I'm running with the spacer in. I have also changed the spring to a stiffer version as I'm a big guy.0

As the frame was sold with 80 and 100mm I'd be inclined to drop it to circa 110mm max.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
