Changing Cassettes etc.
Perhaps a daft question but I just don't know the answer.
Im changing my rear 6800 mech from a short cage to a medium cage to allow me to fit a 32t cassette as Im heading for the hills. Im also fitting a new chain to suit.
My question is if I want to fit say a 25t cassette for TT will I also need to revert back to the original mech and chain?

Probably not. If you think about it, on your 12-32 cassette, you pass through the full range of gears you have on the 12-25. The chain might be a little slacker than necessary but I think it would shift fine.0
