Hello all,

I have a new bike with SRAM X5 FD and X7 rear RD its been great until it rained on Sunday and I got very muddy on the way back to the car. I noticed strait away a grinding noise from the drive train, when I got back home I cleaned the bike with Muc Off however the drive train is still noisy even after I lubricated the chain again, the ride doesn't feel nearly as smooth as before - something still grinds and crunches down there. I never had such problems with my old bike which I rarely cleaned between rides - old Voodoo Bantu. Any ideas what it could be?

Cheers,
Mark

You've probably not got all the gritty mud out of the chain, sometimes it needs a real thorough cleaning, certainly more tahn some muc-off and a lube.
