The wife is watching something on BBC with Matt Baker and Mel whatever her name is and they are talking to a Kenyan guy who is speaking perfectly understandable if fairly accented English. However, the BBC have decided to add subtitles which, given the standard of his English, is pretty insulting. I've seen this a few times now with foreign Engkish speakers does anyone know why they've decided to do it? I have far more problem understanding some strong regional native English speakers!

Now doing the same with a Swede but ironically Matt Baker isn't having any despite being less understandable0
