Shimano 105 Brake Calipers with Shimano Claris shifters?

Is it possible to upgrage my brakes as per the subject, or are there other concerns?

    Which model 105 calipers 5700 or 5800?

    Everything will work fine but some years calliper so/shifters combos will work better than others.
