I have finally realised that the e*thirteen hive bottom bracket for the TRS cranks is either made of cheese or is too high maintenance for me.
Has anyone with this crankset been successful in using an alternative BB?
Cheers.

Seems really good quality to me. Are you sure just just didn't get a duff one?

You should be able to use any BB30 or PF30 BB I would expect....

The crank running through the TRS is extra chubby so I had to change out the original BB on my Process for the e*thirteen item. Quite annoyingly CRC don't mention that when you buy the TRS cranks so after the cranks arrived I then had to wait another two days for the new BB to arrive.

  • Mines not press fit, my concern is how the APS adjuster would work on another BB. Looking further into it, it appears e*thirteen have made improvements to the BB. Just got to wait for crc to get them back in stock.

The rumour is that Hope when testing their new crank used E13 bottom brackets before making their own. Maybe it works in reverse?
