Does anyone have an ETA for the Stages 105 5800 release in the UK?
I plan on purchasing a power meter in a couple of weeks, and would ideally like to get the 105 model to match my current crankset.
There are a few articles from back in September 2014 saying they should be released in February, but nothing so far on the Stages site, or any UK dealers.

I've also been waiting for the 5800 version but couldn't wait any longer and ordered a 5700 arm. There isn't any difference from what I can see.0

Yeah I had considered that, but also considered going for the Ultegra version as I will ultimately replace the 105 with Ultegra.0

Not showing at all with distributor so no date planned.0

The 6800 version at Powermeter 24 is probably the one to go for. Don't worry about one side matching the other!Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

If I could find out what the difference between the 5700 and 5800 are it might help me decide. There is a £100 difference in price between the 105 and Ultegra, plus it will be a while before I replace the chain set so it might be that I follow SDK and get the 5700 model.
SDK is yours the silver or black one?0 -
the only difference I notice between the 5700 and 5800 crank arm is the logo, otherwise they look exactly the same to me
someone with more knowledge will need to confirm this but they should be completely interchangeable too, so I'd say just go for the 5700 stages0 -
I've got two weeks until I "need" one - I have an FTP test on TrainerRoad coming up and want to use "real" power rather than "virtual" power. So if nothing has been released by then (which as Izza says, doesn't look likely) I think I will go for the 5700 version.0

Just received this back from Stages:
"Thank you for your inquiry. Based on shipment/PO schedules from our UK distributor partner, you likely wouldn’t see 5800 in country until mid-late April at best (assuming they place orders for them)."0 -
And just got this back regarding the differences between the 5700 and 5800:
"The only difference is slight aesthetics in the lines. The colors and everything else I’m told are identical. Certainly you can use 5700 with 5800 and vice versa."
Looks like I will get the 5700 then!0 -
Anyone seen an FSA BB30 165mm version anywhere? Seems to only exist on stages website0

Thanks D but I already emailed them and they do not have the 165mm version and cannot supply it either which sounds a bit ridiculous. All my FSA cranks are 165mm so would cost a hell of a lot to change.0 -
Bb30 and 165, crikey.
I'd be looking at power2max Classic then. Similar price but for full crankset and measurement on both legs.Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

I had considered Power2max but i intended using a stages on both bikes. Ill may have to compromise0

Once you've taken the left crank off it isn't too much more hassle to knock out the right side though... and power to max measures both legs which is of benefit if you have or are worried about imbalances.
I did a little run through of the power meters in that price range when I bought my P2max in November... there's a blog post about it here you might find helpful.
