Moans from a Train user

Why do folk queue at the only door that cyclists can use, when it's obvious we take longer to board & the whole train gets held up while we negotiate our bike past the interior turns? If just a few other people walked an extra 50' to the other door, we'd all leave sooner.

Why does everyone (with no luggage, no buggy, no bike, quite nimble looking feet) use the manned gates at the station barriers, where they show their ticket to the staff, rather than at least try to feed their ticket thru the machine to get out? I have to use the extra wide gate because of my bike (they yell at me if I try to take it thru regular barriers). So I end up queuing behind the nimble-footed people who won't even try the automatic machines.

And (not a moan, just confusion): why do people turn on their bike lights 3 minutes before we even get to the station, and so 4-5 minutes before they get out to the dark road? Am I the only one that doesn't like to waste battery life?

(See, I feel better already)
