Wobbly handlebar
The handlebar on my Giant Cyprus wobbles slightly . . vertically if you know what i mean.
I can stop this by tightening the bolt that is under the handlebar. Then after a couple of hours
the bolt starts to loosen and i have to tighten it up again.
So either the thread in the handlbar has has worn down, or the thread on the bolt has worn down.
i will try a replacement bolt first, but do you know then name of this alan key bolt / size? I'm guessing there will be a lot of standard size bolts used for parts
This is a picture of the bolt, looking up to the underneath of the handlebar

These types of adjustable stems rely on a serrated retainer to hold the angle - if you've ridden it loose, it may well have worn the teeth and therefore almost impossible to get tight again. The bolt is steel, the stem alloy so if the thread is worn, more likely to be in the alloy parts. Suggest you take it to your LBS for a better diagnosisMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
