Hi, I'll be putting a Campagnolo groupset on my bike which is currently Shimano equipped. Rather than buy a new rear wheel can I just remove & replace the freehub body and is this a simple job or LBS?
Thanks for your help.

You can... but if you are using a Shimano 11 sp cassette, you can use this with the rest of the Campag drivetrain components.

11sp cassettes are compatible between Campag and Shimano/SRAM.

No need for a change indeed with 11 speed.
For 9/10 speed it depends on the sub, some can be changed, some not.

I'll be using a 10 speed Campagnolo cassette.

That suggests that the Campag groupset you're installing is 10 speed and you won't be able to run your Shimano 10 speed cassette with your current freehub.

Need a bit more info on exactly what wheels you have ATM before we can advise if it's possible to source a 10 speed Campag freehub to switch over.

Or you could just use one of these cassetteshttp://www.jejamescycles.co.uk ... 53016.html
I've used one on my Campag equipped winter/commuter bike for years (on my third cassette). Mean I can swap wheels with my other bike which are all Shimano. Works an absolute treat.

It's a great suggestion super_davo, but i fear that the cassette would require changing before the wheel and therefore could be more costly than changing the freehub which I'm perhaps recklessly thinking would be about £20.00 if that's possible.

Campag freehubs are more much expensive:

Cheapest option is operating the Campag drivetrain with Shimano cassettes, which works reasonable well.

Ambrosio do 10 speed conversion cassettes, they you can get them to support either way. £30 and they are an easy fix. I have one for shimano to campagnolo, and a campagnolo to shimano. I love em.

Thanks chaps, but the thought of a shimano cassette when the rest of the group is Campag just won't work for me. 11-25 Ambrosio won't suit my puny body either.
Looks like shelling a few quid out then.

The Ambrosio cassettes come in loads of different sizes. They do a 12-28 if that's more palatable. From recollection the highest Campag do in 10 speed is 29 tooth so you're not losing much from a ratio perspective.
Have a google for them.
They also tend to cost less than Veloce cassettes, shifting is no worse, not noticeably heavier, so no major drawbacks. Unless using Shimano wheels on a Campag bike offends you!

Thanks super_davo, no, please don't misunderstand, I'm not a Campag snob to that extreme!
I'll take proper look to find Ambrosio 12-28, that's what it'll be replacing.
Thanks for your help.
