The Beeston Road Club Reliability Trial is back and the event will take place this Sunday (22nd February 2015).

Those of you who are, shall we say, ‘experienced’ enough will recall a non-stop challenging, hilly, route through the Vale of Belvoir timed to and from Wilford Bridge.

The new format, (and new routes,) will be a little different, offering two separate rides of 100K (with an option for a café stop) and a 60K route.

The venue for the event is Chilwell Olympia. First riders off at 9:00am. Entry is £5 which you can do via https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/event ... de#summary or you can pay on the day.

The Chilwell Olympia car park will be available, there will be a dedicated entrance point into the Olympia building and a dedicated bike park area.

Hi looks interesting and decent route. Can you just confirm how you are going to run it - size of groups etc - is it just done on who turns up earliest or is fast, medium, steady groups etc ? Can probably drag a few of ours over though a later start would have helped with some ! Ta.

We shall be staggering the start so that there are not too many riders initially disturbing the traffic; however we are not going to identify the pace of each of the groups. Certificates will be issued with self-declared times.

We will have tea, soup and cakes available (for a small fee) at the end of this ride and there is a café stop for those who wish to stop half-way around.

NB. This is not a commercial event with all profits going to charity!

From the Met Office site for Nottingham, the weather looks dry and cloudy until at least 3pm in the afternoon!
    See: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/pub…/weather/forecast/gcrjm8jf7…

There has also been a lot of interest so we are now expecting a good turnout for this event.

It was dry at the start, but not the end of the ride.

Feed back on the club Facebook site was good and we have this event booked again for the 21st February next year.

OK just a suggestion - the early start put our lot off as it was an hours steady ride over plus allowing some time for signing on etc - they did the Mercia event instead.

With the help of Velo Club Long Eaton, we fortunately had a quick signing in process.
