Halfords Kraken

Ok so after 20 years off a MTB I bought a new 2014 Kraken in the 2015 January sales for £320, quite a bargain I though given RRP was £499. I'm no MTB expert but I've used it 3 times over the last few week along the South Downs Way.
All in all I think the bike is great. Front brake is a bit of let-down but I understand that is a known fault. Will replace in due course.

Why would you replace? Just take it back.0

Halfords pricing is similar to DFS. No one will ever pay rrp for a Carrera.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Indeed, but that's still a genuine £400 plus bike so a good price at £320.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Cant argue with that. Its probably better than a £500 Specialized.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
