So got sick of my T129 so thought I would swap the parts over to a new frame.

The build will be all the Shimano XT off of the T129 which includes drivetrain and brakes, Hope 32t narrow wide, Zee rear derailleur, Rockshox reverb stealth, Hope pro evo 2 hubs on ZTR Flow EX rims, Nukeproof Zero 50mm stem and ODI Rogue grips.
I have bought new Raceface Atlas 785mm bars, as I did not want to put the Whyte brand ones on, and a new set of Rockshox Revelation RTC3 solo air 140mm forks are on the way.
No bling just good old black parts.

I quite fancy one of these or even the SIR. But the silly BB puts me off, what is wrong with 1 threaded 73mm???

It should be a good bike to ride, best of luck.

  • Well I was a bit annoyed that Niner do not put a rustproof coating on the frame before painting ( my Trans Am has ) so had to get some and do it myself.

Zee rear derailleur, Nukeproof Zero 50mm stem, Shimano XT i-spec shifter and my ODI Rogue grips ready to fit.

Shimano XT cranks and Saint pedals ready for narrow wide fit.

That frame looks tiny. What size is it?
  • It probably looks smaller because of a couple of things i.e. the wheel size, and fork with no pressure in it.

Lovely looking frame and parts choice.
  • Frame is a small, as with most frames at the moment it has longer top tube and short seat tube.
No air in forks as Nairnster said probably makes it look smaller than it is.
Managed to get the seat post in and bled this morning before football.

  • Well got it built and it seems the forks are fubar, but I did get some pics while I was out trying it out.
Just needs a few adjustments, like saddle putting further back.

Looks nice, its a lovely blue.

    Whats wrong with the forks?
  • They are losing all the air over a 2-3 hours period, they lost 30psi while testing it for 3 miles or so.
Put 90psi in last night and this morning they had zero in, also have a ever so slight weeping of oil from left wiper seal too.
