Brake block/cartridge compatibility
I'm aware that this is a stupid question, but thought I'd lean on the knowledge of the forum.
I'm currently running Shimano BR-R451 57mm long drop brakes on my bike, and need to replace the pads - at the same time, I'm going to 'upgrade' to cartridge blocks so I have more choice with the pads I can use.
Are the 6800 cartridges going to be compatible? I would assume so, but they don't them as compatible on here.
Thanks!

Not according to the Shimano technical data, there are no cartridge type brake holder/pads listed as an option for those brake calipers.
From the link below select Type - Road, Component - Brake (Caliper Brake), Series - Shimano., then hit the Submit button.

I should think they'll be fine. It's just a lump of rubber in a holder with a screw in it.- - - - - - - - - -

Bought the 5800 (which I assume are basically the same). Fitted and work perfectly; posting this here in the hope that anyone wondering the same will find this at the top of Google results.
Shimano BR-R451 57mm long drop brakes are indeed compatible with 5800 brake cartridges!0
