Trek Fuel EX7, EX 8 or Whyte M109

Hi, sorry for the bland topic. I'm currently looking for a new bike through the Cyclescheme, (I know you aren't supposed to go over the 1k mark) but am undecided re the above. Can anyone let me have their opinions on either bike? I'm mainly going to use this for Cannock, the Malvern's, Cotswolds etc & I was just after people's opinions for the above model. Thanks for taking the time.

The EX 8 is basically the same as the 7 with the exception of its SLX groupset.
