I have installed my rotor Qrings but when I ride on my 39 and in the back on my 13 (3th ring) I hear the chain rubbing against the 53 ring. Is this normal?

  • Don't know about normal, but you're not alone:

Yes and no. With a SRAM Yaw 22 FD, I can get to the extremes of chain angle in both rings without chain rub. Using a normal FD not so good. Assuming you've altered the height of the derailleur to be at the correct gap when the large Q ring is at maximum elongation and that the small ring is at the same position, you should be able to get down to the 2nd smallest sprocket before any chain rub starts.
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.
  • The chain doesn't hit the FD but the big chainring when on the 39 and the 13 on the back
