Excellent. I'll have some Specialized BG medium footbeds in a 45. You're paying, right?0

So after nearly two years of use, I should just bin them and get something else? Even though I find them comfortable. Really?
You find them comfortable; that's good. The chances are, your body has got used to cycling in shoes with poor (i.e. no) foot support.
I imagine some decent insoles will make you functionally more efficient. The benefits might be increased power output, increased comfort, increased endurance etc.
Whether you care for any of that is up to you.0 -

Sure, maybe.styxd wrote:I imagine some decent insoles will make you functionally more efficient. The benefits might be increased power output, increased comfort, increased endurance etc.

Just to be clear, I don't have any problem with using different footbeds. Maybe they will be better, maybe not. Maybe you won't notice any difference at all. But where is the harm in running the shoes as they come. If the insoles are as terrible as you and a few other suggest, it will be obvious, won't it? Why spend money if you don't need to.0 -

Jeeeze. I think we all get it. You have love for your crappy footbeds. I just take one quick look at these things and my 5th metatarsal starts to wimper.0 -
