SRAM Brakes for upgrade

Hi everyone,
Ive decided to treat my Boardman commuter to a good upgrade on the standard parts, which ill use on an old frame to become a dedicated turbo bike.
So far, thanks to the classifieds here, I've managed to pick up 10 speed SRAM Red shifters, FD & RD at a sensible price.
The only thing left I want to change is the brakes....the standard tektro aren't that great.
Trying to keep prices down, and have just seen Rival 22 brakes on bike discount for €55.
I just want to double check - I'm assuming the 22 doesn't make any difference when it comes to callipers - the red shifters are 10 speed, but I'm hoping this will all work together, and should be a good upgrade from the standard callipers on there.

No difference at all. I have Red 22 with Red 10 speed. In fact, Rival are the "old style" (as are Force, Apex etc, i.e. not like Red Aero) so there's even less chance of issues. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Cheers Bender - always better to double check these things before hitting the button.
Thanks as ever for the quick reply!0 -
Depending on what wheels you have what about a Force 22 groupset ? Been some good offers recently and given how much you'll spend on parts you have suggested it could be more economical.
Very impressed with Force 22, the improved shifter shape particularly.25th August 2013 12hrs 37mins 52.3 seconds 238km 5500mtrs FYRM Never again.0 -

Thanks Galzato - if I was starting from scratch now, then I agree - Force 22 would be the way to go.
Ive been collecting bits and bobs over the past few months, so only the callipers left to go now.
White91 - how much are you looking for the red callipers? Id love them....but probably out of my price range!0 -
Rival stuff is great - works as well as anything. Merlin Cycles sometimes have good deals on SRAM components: http://www.merlincycles.com/road-bike-b ... erBrand=55 and looks like 50 quid for Rival here: http://www.fudgescyclesonline.com/index.php?c=5220'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0
