How do I remove an inner bearing case from Ultra Torque d/t

As the title suggests.
The bearings on drivetrain side of my Campag Ultra Torque chainset pretty much disintegrated, leaving me with the inner 'ring' all but welded to the BB section.
I don't have or access to a bearing puller, and the ring in question won't budge with brute force and ignorance.
Are there any tricks I'm missing out on?
Oh and naturally the bearing on the other side came off easy enough, has been replaced and is raring to go.

It's an interference / press-fit so you'll need a bearing-pullerMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Or a hammer and screwdriver/chisel.0

I was pretty close to giving up.
Having used everything at my disposal, I went to a mates house.
He fafted around with it, but at least he had a hefty vice. (not Haribo)
Finally as I edged towards desperation I grabbed a screwdriver and said 'I going to need something heavy'.
Big hammer, big screwdriver and fortunately just before it was going to get out of hand the bearing case fractured.
All sorted now, re fit complete and factory smooth.
Happy days, it's just a shame it cost me a weekends riding.0
