Tourney A070 shifter extensions possible?

Hi,

I have a scott speedster 60 with A070 tourney shifters.

the problem is its impossible to shift down when i'm on the drops as I cant reach the tiny little switches with my thumbs

I'm wondering if anyone has modded these in any way to make them switchable from the hoods and drops?
