The most off putting thing for me is the size of the welds on the bb. Looks chippy as f@#k

Aah I have fond memories of my GT mountain bike I first raced on.

I'd have it - the bike is to ride - not to look at.

I think it looks cool and like the chunky welds.

Makes it look beefy, like it could take a kicking off road.

Great looks & a great ride are two different things....I'll say 'yes' and leave it there I think.

  • Its alright, theres worse looking bikes than that one, look at Giants! they look like crap and look at the amount of people that ride them.

No no for me I am afraid.
I am super fussy about seat stay, seat tube, top tube junctions and that one looks criminal to me.
Not to mention those welds

Am sure you can get a better looking bike that rides at least as well, so why have an ugly one?
  • I like it!
  • Been into a LBS today taken a fancy to this with a good reduction in price https://www.ridley-bikes.com/be/en/bike ... isc-1504am .
    What do you recon /

Looks quite nice if its going cheap.
Just noticed the ugly one had HY\RD hydraulic callipers though. Self adjusting and much better feel/braking IMO.
Its starting to look less ugly now....... but i still couldn't 8)

You could upgrade the Ridley to them for about £180. Really easy to do if you find you hate cable discs as much as I did.
