it has now got 180mm hydraulic brakes - as the picture doesn't show any0

Was it stolen???? The frame alone is worth more than that!Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

no no it wasn't stolen, my uncle bought it ages ago as he goes across to the french alps and rides over there and is selling this as its just lying around his garage as he has a new bike and i said i could have it for £230 plus my bike
I'm just wondering what parts would be best to put on it and if its a good setup for the price
thanks for commenting back0 -
Have you ridden it?
If so what does it not do that you want it to do?
If not ride it and decide if it doesn't do what you want it to do.I don't do smileys.

from the pic and an image search I think its a Commencal Supreme 2 2009 model. Quite heavy at 41lb apparently but with a decent fork and shock would be a not bad weekend gravity bike. was billed as a mini-DH bike with 160mm travel. if you bought it for generally cycling then you've wasted your money.

Hardly a waste of money, if he doesn't like it he can sell it for well over double (more like triple) what he paid. They're still popular bikes and unusually for a Commencal they are fairly solid. The Supreme DH is around 40lb (not a bad weight for a 2010ish downhill bike) so this is probably more like 36lb ish.
Is that a titanuim spring on the shock?Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

says 41lb in the bike radar review0 -
My mates 2010 Supreme DH with old Fox 40's and Mavic EX 729's (not a light build) is about the same weight as my Scalp and that weighs in at 39lb so I doubt that the lighter Supreme with single crown forks and lighter wheels is going to be heavier.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

only going with what the review said.0

Fair enough. It wouldn't really make sense for Commencal to sell a mini dh bike which is as heavy as their full 8" dh race bike thoughTransition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
