Afternoon all, a quick question from a MTB newbie!

A friend has Suntour forks on his Giant Revel - they work fine on normal - ie unlocked - settings but when locked out have an inch or two of vertical movement.

Any ideas if this can be adjusted out or is it a strip/examine/simple rebuild job? LBS says that he needs new forks (cursory glance over examination) but any opinions are gratefully received.

Many thanks, M.

Some is needed otherwise they break. Though, that does sound a lot - double check and let us know.

Most the Revels use MLO XCT's.....but as they are such crummy forks I wouldn't really be fussed.
