26" Cotic Soul - again

Was all set to sell this bike as it doesn't get ridden that much, but found some bargains in the sales over Christmas so thought I'd give it one more go
The rims were in CRC for a smidge over £40 each and despite being white I think it just about works on the bike. Might be tempted to go all out stealth black and carbon rims if I get extra funds from somewhere, but for now this is it.
Need to shorten rear brake hose, replace seat post and find/buy adaptor to run 180mm disk on the front but other than that all done.

Nice looking bike, I agree the white rims work well here - the monochrome look suites the narrow steel tubed frame very well I think, especially with the large white Cotic downtube badging.
Personally I think id try and stick with the 160mm front disc.
Weight, I'm going to take a punt on 10.15KgCurrently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
No way. I think more 24 lbs0

Took it round Cannock yesterday with my good lady and the youngest.
Rode surprisingly well and kept up with a few full suspension peeps on the downs.
Even felt comfortable over the bumps and constant pebbleness, so all in all happy.
Quite like the look now it's nearly done and the rim colour sits ok.
Needs the bigger front disk though, as at 100kg I prefer the better modulation and ultimate power it gives.
Shall weigh it soon.0 -
I like that alot. Near enough exactly what i would have done if i had to build myself a HT.0

Nice.
Will keep an eye out for it over the Chase._______________

Nice bike.
It is good seeing a 26er looking good and keeping the scene still alive.
What is the weight?Constantly trying to upgrade my parts. It is a long road ahead as things are so expensive for little gain. n+1 is always the principle in my mind.0
