Goal: triathlons; End Goal: 70.3; Training: 50-60km on w/e with few sportives in between; One-off: London to Paris ride
Undecided between:
a) BMC Teammachine SLR02 Ultegra: has a slightly more aggressive position, comfortable for long rides?
b) BMC GranFondo GF02 Ultegra: more upright seating; in reality significant v BMC Teammachine?
c) Canyon Endurance CF 9.0 SL (Dura Ace): downside i cannot test it
I would put comfort before speed. Any thoughts welcomed?!?

BMC SLR01 was and is the best bike I have ever owned. Aggressive fast and yet very comfortable. Use spacers to get your bar height right if it's too aggressive when slammed. I borrowed a BMC GF01 with a view to buying but it was no more comfortable than the teammachine but wasn't as fun to ride either. Not ridden the Endurace but have a CF SLX and that's a beautiful bike and extremely good value for money but it just doesn't seem to have the character of the BMC.
If it were me, I'd go for the Teammachine. Get the SLR02 and the GF in at your nearest Evans to try. I don't think you would go wrong with the Canyon but try the teammachine.0 -
Tried a teammachine slr 02 and found it to be perfectly nice but not particularly exciting. It was very comfortable though- in fact I couldn't really think of a good reason to go for the GF if the slr 02 is an option. I also test rode a trek Emonda sl, in my opinion a better bike all round- more direct, lighter and quicker off the mark. It also gave very good road feedback. However, both have been put in their place by the Aprire Vincenza I have been testing. I know where my money is going!RIP commute...
Sometimes seen bimbling around on a purple Fratello Disc or black and red Aprire Vincenza.0
