First FS - which accessories do I need to protect shock?

I've just bought a Giant Anthem. I've only had hard tails before. Are there any accessories I should get to protect the frame and shock to extend their working life as much as possible?

Nope. You can get a gaitor for shocks but they can make things worse by keeping dirt and moisture in and preventing you being able to see oil leaks.
Just keep it clean and apply a very light smear of suspension oil or so Fork Juice.

The shock position on Giants also means that it stays reasonably clean anyway.
