Will be doing pretty easy trails, no big jumping, or nothing hard

On that basis, and seeing as with the greatest will in the world you might decide it's not for you, I'd suggest you buy a good entry level hardtail for no more than £550-£600.Family, Friends, Fantastic trails - what else is there

I agree, certainly you don't want that sort of travel for that use, either a decent hardtail (Voodoo Bizango is great for circa £650) or a short travel FS like the Anthem would be better. Pauls cycles are still doing a 2013 Anthem for circa £1K.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
