Retainer compound on carbon BB shell

I'm installing a Rotor 4130 bottom bracket into a new frame. I've used these BB's numerous times before and they can be a little prone to creaking at least in an aluminium shell even with grease but retainer compound and activator has always sorted any creaks. Has anyone had any issues with using a retainer compound and activator on a carbon shell when pressing bearings? Its a Scott frame and I did read in their warranty terms (or somewhere in the small print) that they only permit use of specific carbon paste brands which does seem a little OTT but does raise concern about using a chemical in the BB interface that isn't 'approved'. If not using retainer compound should grease be used? which I understand shouldn't really be in contact with raw carbon as it can degrade it.

Personally I think the compound option will be okay but happy to get peoples experiences for reassurance.
Cheers.
