Hope you can help.
I am looking to upgrade my forks, reason being I currently run Fox 32 evolution O/C CTD, basically bottom of the range OEM forks. They are for my Commencal steel hardtail. Having had the forks for a couple of years they are over due a service and I have never really got that perfect set up, the lack of adjustability is a big negative too. Rather then getting them serviced circa £200, I would rather put that towards new forks.
Spec needs to be 150mm, 1 1/8 steerer, not got a budget. Any ideas anyone? I'd love pikes but they're only tapered and struggling to find revs @ 150m with 1 1/8 steerer.

Pikes aren't available with a 1 1/8" steerer. At £200 i would look for a Rockshox Revelation solo air.
A service is only £100ish but the Evo CTD is not a good fork.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Cheers RM, I'm looking to buy brand new, revs still the best option then? I haven't found them at 150mm with a 1 1/8 steerer, I have found 140mm revs with1 1/8 steerer, can the travel be upped on these?Commencal Ramones Cromo 13 - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=129269380

Probably not but maybe. Not a lot of new forks are available with a straight steerer. Does your bike have a 44mm head tube? You might be able to fit an external 1.5" bottom cup to take a tapered steere.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

If they're new forks, you should just need a new air shaft, I've done it( went from 150 to 140 on a set of revs). Think the air shaft cost about £35, plus a seal kit and the right oil etc for about another £30. Changing it yourself Is easy plus you'll end up doing a lower leg service at the same time.0

In fact, same ones I bought, ignore the picture, they're the newer ones with black stanchions, 150mm and 1 1/8th steerer.

Thanks for the link, that's a very good price. I think I will go for those!Commencal Ramones Cromo 13 - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=129269380
