Hi all
Does anyone have any tips on how to extend the battery life of a Garmin 1000, if any of course! By the time ive done a 3 or 4 hour ride it's close to dying.
Any help gratefully appreciated.

Do not use the map screen as the default, turn off auto scroll, check screen brightness setting. Turn down as necessary.0 -
I have GLASNOSS (sp) off.
I have it set to a data screen and auto switching to the map when I need to change direction at a junction.
The battery lasts approx 15 hours. Even without these settings, 4 hours sounds like a device fault.Boardman Elite SLR 9.2S

Not really. I have Glasnoss on and originally had auto brightness and backlight on always. Does seem to last only about 4 hours odd.
Brightness/backlight are the things I have changed. Will now do the same with auto scroll.0
