Hi there,
My name is John and i have been into biking for a few years now with a slight gap in-between which i regret as now having to build up strength again. I live in cycling distance of the surrey hills so i have some good areas to bike to and learn the art of trial riding, which is something I've been limited on slightly.
My first real mountain bike was purchased back in 2004/5, can't quite remember and was a Carrera Kraken hard tail. never missed a beat this bike and many miles covered on it, and still rides lovely today. Unfortunately due to purchasing a new bike, this one will be looking for a new home due to space limits for storage.
Now due to wanting to get into mountain biking properly at the beginning of this month i set out to get the equipment necessary to help me do this.
The first started with needing a mountain bike, choosing one was tricky as there are so many on the market and is very dependant on how much you want to spend. I wanted to move away from the hard tail and get into the full suspension bikes, a few caught my eye Cannodale Jekyll 3, Specialised Enduro ect. But in the end a Used but very well looked after Cannondale Claymore 2 came up and i was able to view and purchase it for what i thought was a good price and came with all original equipment, purchase receipt and lots of extra things.
and a photo at the summit of leith hill for the first ride out
I have subsequently kitted myself out with the some of the bits for heading out on the hills. just need the lighter nights and slightly warmer weather to arrive to dry out the tracks.
Like i say I'm relatively new to the full off road scene and looking to learn and get to know new people, so if anybody is heading out on the surrey hills at any point and doesn't mind a newbe leaning the ropes let me know.
Hope you like and thanks for looking,
John

Both bikes look great and cannondale is a great choice quality machine which you should enjoy riding fo a good few years or until something else catches ..You must treat others with respect in order to be respected ..
