Can you remove tubs witout ruining them?

I'm new to owning tubular tyres, and was wondering if it's possible to remove tubs without ruining the base of the tub. From what I've seen it seems there's a good chance it'll be a tough job and could tear up the base of the tub.
I currently have a second hand set of wheels with vittoria corsa tubs on, but I'm thinking of trying out some conti sprinters on them. Obviously I don't want to wreck the corsas in the process- I might want to put them back on after all.
If it is risky then I'll just wait for them to wear out/ puncture before trying to change them.
I would also like the practice of changing a tub in the comfort of home rather than the first time out on the road.
Any experiences welcome- cheers!

Just pull the current tubs off they will be fine. Sprinters will not be as comfortable as the corsa's but the sprinter's are more resistant to cuts and punctures.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0

Thanks for the replies- they did come off fine.
Are there any tricks to cleaning the base tape? Mine have small bits of fluff and dust on them- I was going to try warm soapy water but is there really any need with small amounts of contamination? I will be putting fresh glue on before mounting.
The rims themselves should be easy with acetone, but that can't be good for the rubber tyre!
I was thinking of the Sprinters because I tried them on a long (dry and warmish) weekend and they felt great at 120psi, even over a gravel road, but when I went out on these corsas at 120psi they felt a lot harsher and slippy. They were OK at lower pressures, but still dissapointing. In fairness it was damp/ wet when I tried the corsas (used them for my last HC of the season) so look forward to giving them a proper test in the spring when the TT season kicks in.0 -

And I've never found it easy to clean the glue off a rim.
In my experience, Corsas are great in the dry but horrible when it's wet.0 -
+1 for just pull them off. It won't be a problem.
I found Corsas too fragile; I use Paves in the winter and Ultremo HTs in the summer.0
