Idiot cyclist

I was witness to a truly idiotic cyclist this morning. At a busy roundabout underneath the A3, he pulls out on a car already on the roundabout, forcing the driver to slow down. Out of the saddle and turning, the cyclist decides it would be a good idea to take one hand off the handlebars to acknowledge the driver he forced to slow and promptly ends up in a tangled heap in the middle of the roundabout, fortunate not to have a car parked on his head.

Ok, it was me

Here's hoping the car had a dash-cam and it's being uploaded to YouTube as we speak.
I might have done something similar in the past
  • Very cathartic to own up to our shortcomings!

The problem is you tried to equalise Karma by acknowledging the car driver. Or as a colleague of mine put it 'no good deed goes unpunished'

Are you sure it wasn't the ex-wife trying to kill you off :P

No because the car didn't run me over.

She must have been spooked by a fair few potential witnesses.

Were you wearing an helmet and if so, did it save your life?

Perhaps the driver was a Pruszków hitman because you had taken up with a nice Polish girl?

Don't forget the reflective clothing too, were you head to toe in black or did you have some fluorescent stuff on too.

Knowing this is critical to deciding if you are in fact an idiot

Would it, in itself and without the other factors, automatically make you an idiot ?
  • We'll if you're wearing hi-vis, a helmet and a go pro, then you automatically classify :)

It also may depend on if we are discussing a particular idiot. Couldn't possibly say.

Well now you mention it, I may get one to film some footage at Bike Park Wales. Should be quite amusing to post up a clip of people trying to get down black runs

Just to clear a few things up.

    Yes a wore a helmet
No it didn't save my life.
No Hi-vis but a light coloured jacket.
No Gopro, I was riding a bike with the funny curved handle bars and a saddle that hurts your @rse.
