Breaking a D-Lock?

Hi!
I'm buying a D-Lock as we speak, reading through reviews on many of them the reviews say things become miss aligned or don't sit well after time.
My question is, what do you do if a D-Lock jams and you can't get it off? Do you leave the bike over night, call a lock smith? I assume it's not something you would call the police or fire service to come out for? TIA

Just do what the thieves do... small angle grinder. Nobody will even notice you cutting it.0

Or insert a car jack and force it open. As per the thieving scum without access to petrol/battery grinders.0

Mines been fine for years - I'd not really worry about it.0

My 25yr old one was dicky for a while before giving up the ghost, but always stuck open rather than closed.0

Freeze it with liquid nitrogen and hit it with a hammer0
