Hi All,
I'm looking to do alot more crits this year so I'm thinking about picking up a CAAD10.
I currently have a Tarmac Sl4 in 54cm - I'm around 5ft11 and I've had a bg fit on my Tarmac and they measured me up for it. I've heard couple of things about a cannondale 'standard fit'. I've not had a chance to sit on a 54cm but looking at the specs they looks simlar.
Can anyone offer any input on sizing?

I am 5'11" and ride a 56cm Supersix which has the same Geo as the Caad10, I have owned a 54Cm Supersix before but it always felt small for me. But for racing on it might be ok and what you are after as it will be lower at the front.
I guess at our size we are just between the frame sizes, best to have a sit on both sizes and see what you like best.
I also have a SuperX which I got in a 54cm but these are a 55cm top tube compared to a 54.5 on the CAAD10.
The new CAAD 10 looks a good bike and very good value, the 11speed 105 is great, I have it on my Synapse winter bike, or are you fancying the Force 22 bike?0 -
I'm looking at the 105 spec version with the FSA cranks as I run FSA Stages on my SL4.
When I was getting setup on my SL4 they tried me on both sizes and said I could ride either but they couldn't make the fit any more aggressive on the 56 and said the 54 was a good fit for racing. I've done about 4k km on it now and it feels great.
- I see you rode the Croft first round, I couldn't make week 1 but should be there this weekend.0 -
I guess the 54 will be best then, just compare the Geo of the CAAD to the Tarmac. Like I said I had a 54Cm Dale for a bit and would have still had it if someone did not offer me a good price for it. I would have used it for racing no problem but for longer 100+ miles it felt too small.
I have been fancying a CAAD 10 for racing as well. The 105 looks to be good value, maybe just change the wheels and you have a great race bike.
Croft was fairly quiet due to the wind I think ;-) I used my Canyon as my Supersix is too nice to race in this weather ;-) I am hoping to be back next week, might even do both races.0 -

I've ridden 54 and 56 in this frame. I'm the same height as you (with 32 inside leg) and find the 54 too short in the top tube. I've recently bought a 2015 CAAD 10 (56) and run a 120 stem on it . I found I got neck ache, (especially on the drops) after > 2hours with the standard 110 stem.
If you have longer legs and a shorter torso( and arms) the 54 might suit. I don't do crits so whether my set up would suit for that purpose I can't usefully comment.
Great bikes though.0
