Fulcrum 7 free hub noise

Guys,

I have recently put my Fulcrum 7 wheels back on for winter riding. When I removed the rear wheel last spring to put on the summer wheels the free hub had a reasonably loud ratchet sound when not pedalling. I have put them back on and there is now virtually no sound when free wheeling. Apart from the fact I liked the loud ratchet sound I had last year could this be an issue with the wheel or not? Thought I'd ask before taking the wheel to my LBS? The wheels were stored in a box in my garage over the summer.

Cheers
G

    In general:
    No grease> noise
    Grease> no noise.
    Hardened grease: no noise

Remove all grease and put oil in it> noise.
Take it apart and choose your own preference.

The freehub and axle come apart really easily allowing you to access the pawls and springs and grease/oil them for quieter running. Just replaced the cartridge bearings in my Fulcrum 7's (which were shot after less than 2k miles),put grease everywhere and now my freehub is quieter than ever.
