Just bought a Caadx Rival that will be used for

1. commuting
2. cx sportives
3. exploring i.e. off road
4. hopefully a few cx races if I pluck up the guts!!

Current details below of what's on the bike.

I'm looking to buy a second set as a spare/backup system, or if worth doing making them the first choice from the ones already on.
I like the 35mm sizing, been using it mostly for commuting but also some off road stuff over the last 2 weeks and love how it rides.

I would want the 2nd set to be tubeless.

Any suggestions welcome. Would I be best with off the peg or getting some made up?

Thanks in advance.
Cheers

  • As posted elsewhere... I have just built a set of the Planet X offer rims by Pacenti, the CL 25... they are nice and tick all your boxes and at that price they are a steal. You should be able to find someone to build them for you on Novatec hubs or similar. They come at 1600 grams very easily.

Alternatively, the Kinesis CX wheels are decent. I don't think they are meant to do big mileage though
