BBB Techstop Campagnolo Brake Shoes?
Hi,
has anyone used the BBB Techstop brake shoes for campag? i'm looking for something to replace the shoes on my athena calipers with something thats a little easier when it comes to replacing pads i.e - i don't want to have to remove the shoe or use a mallet!
these look like the clip-in type that you get now on super-record, has any of you used them?

it's the shoes i'm interested in rather than the pads. i plan to fit swissstop green.
thanks.

I don't see any sign of the spring clip that the record shoes have to retain the pad. I'm not sure that the Record ones are that much easier anyway. I find if you put plenty of washing up liquid into the cleaned out shoe before inserting the pad that it can be extracted without removing the shoe from the caliper anyway.Faster than a tent.......0

I bought a couple pairs of these:

Seem fine as alternatives. I didn't use the pads supplied, but at that price, it's worth it just for the holders.0 -
If you're replacing pads and shoes I don't see why you need to stick to Campag standards. Buy Shimano style shoes and pads if you want easy pad changes.0

I tried that. I found that the screw heads always seemed to be made of cheese so often I had to cut the pads out and even if I did get the screw out, the pads still weren't noticeably easier to get out than the Campag ones. I went back to Campag without regret! Washing up liquid - it's the future!Faster than a tent.......0
