Are Shimano PD A600 pedals OK with MTB shoes?

Just wondering if the above pedals are OK to use with typical MTB soled shoes, in particular Shimano XC 61's.

Yep, have those pedals on a couple of bikes and they work perfectly with recessed cleat MTB shoes.Open One+ BMC TE29 Seven 622SL On One Scandal Cervelo RS0
