First ride today on new wheels. They are good, very good. They'd be good compared to £400 hanbuilts, they'd be great compared to £300 factory wheels.

At £159 they are remarkable

I've reviewed the wheels there. Next upgrade I think will be 11 speed single ring.

There were road bikes with discs before the Croix de Fer... I recall Lemond was making one well before 2008. Genesis had more success in the UK as the distribution was better (given it's Madison's own brand)
