Im currently on a crappy bike atm and looking to upgrade my bike. Although i feel it rides ok it is heavy, i have to change gears on the stem frame and the gears or not very good very clunky as well. Im looking at spending around £500 and i have seen 1 of the boardmans in halfords i like... http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/r ... i_u=161772
Ive not had a go of it yet or rode it but anything has to be better than this im currently on. Just wondering if im getting value for money? Will it last me a few years? (Obviously getting fitter) or will i be looking at another upgrade etc. Is there better out there for the price

If a 56 or 58 is your size then have a look at Merlin Cycles. They are offering the Felt F95 for £395 in their sale. Groupset is a grade better than the Boardman (Sora vs Claris) and Felt have a very good reputation.

If you can stretch your budget to £600 - they have the Felt F75 for £599

Shimano 105 mostly so way better than the Claris - certainly worth the extra £100. Also they have the F75 in 56, 58 and 61cm0 -
A £600 budget (PX do 0% finance) you could get : http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CBPXRT58AL ... -road-bike A solid bike that if you do decide to upgrade further down the line would make an excellent winter / trainer bike.Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/
