Hi chaps,
thinking of trying a pair of Merino boxers for use under bib shorts / tight, just to keep the nether regions a bit warmer.
Can anyone recommend a brand?
I know Rapha do them specifically for cycling, but they're not cheap.
Cheers!

The chamois is meant to be worn against the skin though. You could wear cycling shorts under unpadded tights, that might be a much better option.Ribble Ultralite Racing 7005, Campagnolo Veloce groupset, Campagnolo Khamsin G3 wheel set0

Bib shorts/tights with pads are designed for pad to be against skin. Wearing boxers will add another layer of friction which can lead to sores. Buy warmer tights.0

I'm currently wearing a mish-mash of gear, MTB clip in padded short liners with padless winter (long) bib tights.
It's working well so far.Advocate of disc brakes.0 -
You can buy Craft running tights for £20, just wear those over your shorts (or knicks if it's a bit colder) ...
Also, if it get's really bad (or you like to play in the snow) you can stick a layer of cling film between shorts and tights to stop your butt going numb from the freezing spray (sounds naff, but it works and no one will notice the difference) ...Life is unfair, kill yourself or get over it.0 -
If its cold - why would you wear shorts ?
Some decent winter tights are what you need. Check out DHB or Planet X.0 -
The Chamois mu st be next to your skin, so if you must wear merino boxers then they have to be outside.0

Because you can combine them with knee/leg warmers and save money.0
