    I'm not saying what they did was right, two wrongs don't make a right, but I think you are being over melodramatic about it.

    My worst blowout (and I mean blowout) was at 110mph (German autobahn) in a heavily laden car, I just braked to a halt on the hard shoulder, no drama, no accident, no swerving around.

    A friend of mine ploughed into the central barrier on the M4 when a front tyre blew out. His first thought was that the steering column had snapped.
    All the gear, no idea and loving the smell of jealousy in the morning.

    My aunt had a blow out which resulted in her car rolling 2 or 3 times. Miracle no-one was killed considering how much the roof had caved in.
    You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
    If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
    If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.
