Garmin replacement screen

Hi,
I bought a used Garmin 800 and it has a scratch/crack to the side of the screen. Although this doesn't appear to affect the touch-screen in any way, but I don't know how weatherproof the unit might be.
I contacted Garmin regarding a repair and they quoted me £75 for a replacement screen - which to me sounds expensive.
Are there any third party company that repairs/sell replacement parts for Garmin's?

My first Garmin Edge 800 had light cracking around the screen and I think this sounds like what you have. It turned out to be an initial manufacturing issue with the early revisions. I got mine swapped for a whole new unit from my LBS via the distributor.
I've used screen protectors on mine since the replacement arrived and it's still in great condition underneath considering the amount of use it's had.
