Afternoon lycra lovers and Cruddie exiles,

I sense a quiet mood on the forum, probably to do with the fact that a lot of us have to go back to work tomorrow  Not looking forward to picking up all the crap in the office that I left behind on the 23rd of last month, so will try not to think about it for now. At least I'll get back on a bike tomorrow after a 2 week break!

Time for more coffee and food...

Work meh does indeed loom large, thankfully my boss is easing me back in with loads of emails last night and today :(

Today has been cleaning cars & bikes- as I felt ok just went for a decent 6 mile cross country run and only narrowly avoided a Radcliffe experience and got home in time, perhaps my stomach isn't fully recovered.

Later will be the pub (obviously)
  • Just set up my out of office, returning Jan 15th.
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles
  • Never mind the back to work nonsense, I'll just be glad when the bleeding nurserys reopen. All I've had since the 23rd is soft play and bouncy castles almost on a daily basis.

Will be glad to get some friggin peace

Don't worry. Won't be long before we're putting the Chritmas trees up again :)

Got a call this afternoon to let me know that the wife of one of the blokes in my team died suddenly on the weekend  I'm already one man down due to long term illness so this week is going to be a whole barrel of laughs, especially for the interim bloke I've hired to cover the one that's ill. It never rains but it ****ing pours :(

Sadly work does start again tomorrow but on the plus side so does my flexible working

Hopefully you'll keep the place in good order until I get into 'work'

Today has redeemed itself - mother in law needs dropping of in the morning so came over tonight - which meant a decent night out watching bands in a local pub with the current wife :)

Do love the whole 'back to work blues' mood on the net

Worked right through christmas feeding all you normal people that socialise at the normal time.
Now got several mini breaks lined up over the next couple of months while the business is quiet.Planning on some restaurant trips to gear me up for the new year.

Lucky to be one of those people that are actually paid to do what they love so yes you probably could say I live to work, although I am trying to change this slowly.

One advantage of being a chef is that its generally quieter when we get to go out.Several of my chef pals off work for next few weeks too so really is a good time of year!
