Going to start reading some stuff for work, given that I got a promotion before Christmas and a new boss starts Monday I should probably do more than just look smart and wing it

Bah. Lots of jobs today including gettin car serviced which has just cost more than expected  Not back to work till Monday but the boss is being a right ar$e - workaholic micromanagers are not my favourite boss style. At least I've been to Waitrose had my coffee and appreciated the Saturday girls :)

Free coffee with your waitrose card I hope....

Micromanagers, hire me if you trust me and let me do my work, or just don't hire me

Nail on head on both counts - plus the Saturday Torygraph for free as its impossible to spend less than a tenner in there.

I suspect at some point he will hack me off enough to call up a recruitment bod or two this year.

Good day today. Got rid of all the Christmas decorations, went out for a meal with the family now having drinks with neighbours opposite. Just popped home to make daughter go to bed. Back over the road in a moment. Only fly in the ointment is that the boy is out at a party so I may have to wait up. Might be posting more bollox than usual later.

Thing one has Chicken Pox. Just waiting for thing two to contract it, poor sausage. So nursery plans are out of the window and the OH's end of season break is going to be keeping the toots occupied.
Farmer who's field the house is in, swears every year that he is going to cut the hedges and never gets around to it so by mid March I have to cut them in a hurry. This year I decided to pre-empt the lazy fecker and do them myself (again, early) but cut them back by hand (too thick for my petrol job). 5ft per hour  Bloody Hawthorn. 140ft down, 200? to go.
Hopefully have enough energy to squeeze a bike run in tomorrow am before the meh work starts all over again.

    Laters.

Make sure they both get it now - far better than catching aged 25 like I did! In fact, invite all their mates round and have a 'Chicken Pox' party like they used to do.

I remember Chicken Pox parties, never hear of them now.
Yep, I had shingles - christ that was awful. My whole left side of the body blistered and the only relief was crushed co-codamol, mixed into E45 and smeared on.
If that part of the body gets too hot and sweaty it still itches - 14 years on.
Ironic that I hope thing two contracts it but better now than in years to come and pregnant. Did I say that? hang on...

You'll have to pay me money for that. Anyway, she isn't covered in spots yet.

He might bung you a few quid if they're anything like Seanoconn's 'family' snaps.

There's an 18 rated version of 'The Wombles'?
