Wheel skewer catching on rear mech

After a wheelset change and whole new groupset I can't get the rear wheel into the dropouts without having to pull out the skewer. The wheel skewer lever is catching on the rear mech.

Any advice please. Perhaps I need some sort of slim wheel skewers.

Bike - Boardman Team Carbon 2010
New groupset Shimano 105 5800 11-speed (old SRAM Rival 2010)
New wheels Campag Zonda shimano hub

The lever goes on the other side.

Problem solved. Front should be on the same side too - no reason really, just looks neater.
I'm left handed, if that matters.

We should never speak of this again...

I tried lever and wheelnut on either side, but same problem. Also tried the old wheel skewers from Shimano R500 wheelset.

There should be plenty of room. The only thing that looks strange is the angle of the RD. Is the b-screw set properly?

You are correct the angle of rear mech is odd in the pic because no chain has been mounted yet (new groupset). I'll go in the garage and check again as I did mount the chain today and set the B-screw correctly. Pic was from yesterday.
