  • got a conference ( < cough > jolly) on the 18th in Nice - I know the race finishes on the 15th - as I keep telling the funders I like to get out early to prepare so going on the 13th .... Just wondering if I can train/ride out on the 14th . Same one two years ago was on the Tirreno- Adriatico route

I don't think the route has been announced yet. Last year they announced it at the beginning of February.

According to ASO the whole route will be unveiled at a press conference on 3rd February at the General Council of Yvelines, although I suspect much of the detail will be fairly common knowledge by then, especially via the local (French) media.

Why complain now, when the climb has featured so many times in Paris-Nice and also the TDF.

Many towns have an Avenue de la République or a Square named La République.
It's a French thing and Europe or Germany have to live with it because it is ingrained within the French Constitution.
That is to say it allows them to "Strike" on behalf of the People. (well some of them)
(as I understand it from the several times I worked there.)

As you can see, the final TT may be flat... (in the streets of Nice)
In French, l'Ardoisier is that guy on his motorcycle who gives the gap between the echappée and the peloton.

Stage 6 looks harder than last year, but there were no TTs last year and this year there's two (16.3k total....)
