My commute is along one of the local road clubs TT routes, so my 26" hybrid with panniers is going to struggle to get far up the order!
Makes sense. Thing is training doesn't necessarily mean going flat out over a short period, indeed it's precisely what you don't really want to be doing! 20 minute efforts at a fairly high intensity are more the order of the day! Doing more sweetspot efforts seems a specific resolution though!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -

This, ie, do one and hopefully get my mtb mojo back, it's been missing for far too long "I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
Barely did 900 miles last year, so plan is to do at least 1500 next year and commute to work more. Plan to a few enduros as well, just to see what all the fuss is about.0

I did 3k miles last year must be doing something right compared to you lot. More of the same I think.0

How does the powerline red grading compare with other reds?

It's not to bad but not very fast starting to get in a poor state now with lots of potholes don't think it gets maintained anymore Hamsterley reds are much better.0 -

If you're a mountain biker, everything's riding related! All the gear, no idea and loving the smell of jealousy in the morning.

Even a good walk means you can ride longer.0

Continue in the same vein as 2014 but up-it somewhat. I really want to do a course with "Jedi" in the Spring/Summer as I really want to start learning to jump properly and improving trail riding techniques.
Enter more fun events this year - London to Brighton etc.
Enter some kind of competition Enduro/XC.
Enter some Cyclocross events later in the year.
Help maintain some of my local trails at Woburn / Rushmere.

To actually ride some, i maybe did about 10 rides in the whole of 2014. I'd like to make it to 25 at least this year. Preferably about 40 if i can.0

There are plenty decent trails on Chopwell if you know where to find them but that's what makes it NOT a trail centre for me. Unlike a trail centre you need local knowledge. I've been living very close to there for the last few years so I know my way round pretty well now.
Anyway, my riding resolutions are simple. Ride more and make less excuses.0 -

Have pledged to do 2015 miles this year- no real reason other than a target to aim at....
But intending to do a few long rides among that- charity events etc!
Should be fun, as only rode about 5 times last year due to health issues!!!Wheeze..... Gasp..... Ruddy hills.......0 -
Buy a full suspension bike, been talking about/looking at bikes but haven't decided yet.
Try out single chain ring setup on my current bike and see if I really do need all the other gears.0
